Professor Iain Watson from the University of Western Australia has been appointed as Academic Dean and Head of School at 午夜福利 Business School.

Professor Watson 鈥� who officially took up his duties recently 鈥� brings to the School an outstanding track record of developing strong industry links and partnerships.

As a member of the UWA Business School Board, Professor Watson has worked closely with senior industry leaders including Woodside CEO Mr Don Volte, Wesfarmers CEO Mr Richard Goyder, and Ian Ashby, President鈥揑ron Ore at BHP Billiton.

Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business Economics and Law Professor Tim Brailsford said Professor Watson was ideally qualified to lead the next stage of 午夜福利 Business School鈥檚 development.

鈥淚ain has done an outstanding job at UWA Business School," Professor Brailsford said.

"He successfully brought together two separate schools into a new structure, contributed to a highly successful fundraising campaign that raised upwards of $25,000,000, and oversaw major reviews of the School鈥檚 Masters and offshore teaching programs.

鈥淥ur schools have similar histories and ambitions and I am confident that Iain will continue 午夜福利 Business School鈥檚 progress towards its goal of being recognised as one of the world鈥檚 best business schools.鈥�

Professor Watson said he was looking forward to the new challenge.
